1. Information collected
DraftSentry collects the minimum information needed to provide its text-similarity and AI-writing tools: your account email, display name, usage counts, and the text and documents you choose to submit. DraftSentry is not certified under FERPA, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or any other formal compliance framework.
2. Account information
Your account email, full name, display name, profile image, and preferences are stored securely. Passwords are managed exclusively by the authentication provider and are never stored in DraftSentry application records. Only you and authorized administrators can access your account data.
3. Documents and submitted text
DraftSentry processes text you submit for similarity analysis and AI-tool processing. Guest documents are processed in-browser and are not permanently saved. Registered users' documents are saved only when you choose to save a report. You can delete saved documents at any time. DraftSentry does not use your documents to train AI models. Full document text is never written to ordinary application logs and is never sent to analytics.
4. AI-processing providers
Text submitted to AI tools is processed by DraftSentry's integrated AI provider. When a specific external provider is connected, its name will be disclosed here. DraftSentry sends only the text needed for the requested operation.
5. Payment provider
Optional contributions are processed by Stripe. DraftSentry never sees or stores your full card number, security code, or bank details. Only contribution status and billing metadata are stored in your account. Contributions are optional, one-time, and non-recurring.
6. Cookies and browser storage
DraftSentry uses browser storage (localStorage and cookies) to maintain your session, remember preferences, and store guest-session data. No tracking cookies are used for advertising. You can clear browser storage at any time from your browser settings.
7. Analytics
DraftSentry may collect privacy-conscious product analytics such as feature usage counts. We never send document text, matched passages, passwords, or payment details to analytics. Analytics events use generic event names and minimal properties.
8. Purpose of processing
Your data is processed solely to provide the requested similarity analysis or AI-tool operation, maintain your account, and improve the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.
9. Document retention
Saved reports remain in your account until you delete them. Deleted items are recoverable from Trash for approximately 30 days before permanent deletion. Guest documents are not permanently stored. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
10. User choices
You can delete reports and projects at any time. You can manage your preferences and notification settings from your account. You can delete all saved documents from the Account Privacy section. You can request an export of your account data. You can delete your account entirely.
11. Data deletion
You can delete individual reports, all reports, and your entire account from your account settings. Account deletion removes your profile, preferences, and usage data. This action cannot be undone. Deletion requests are processed promptly.
12. Security
DraftSentry uses server-side authorization, row-level security, encrypted transmission (HTTPS), and protected API keys. Authentication tokens are managed by the platform's auth provider. Stripe webhooks are verified. Payment processing is idempotent. Admin changes are recorded in an audit log. Internal database errors are never exposed to users.
13. Children's privacy
DraftSentry is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. International processing
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using DraftSentry, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in these jurisdictions.
15. Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
