1. Overview
DraftSentry provides a text-similarity and originality checking tool with AI-powered writing assistants. By using DraftSentry you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Product limitation
DraftSentry identifies possible textual similarities and writing patterns. It does not determine whether plagiarism, misconduct, or AI authorship has occurred. Similarity scores and AI-detection results are estimates and do not prove plagiarism, misconduct, or AI authorship. You are responsible for reviewing each match and its citation context.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use DraftSentry. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
4. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use DraftSentry only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the right to process any documents you upload.
6. User ownership of uploaded content
You retain ownership of the text and documents you submit. DraftSentry does not claim ownership of your content. You grant DraftSentry a limited license to process your text solely to provide the requested analysis or tool operation.
7. Permission to process uploaded documents
You affirm that you have the right to upload and process any documents you submit. You agree not to upload documents that you do not have permission to process, including documents owned by others without their consent.
8. AI-generated output limitations
AI-generated or AI-assisted output from DraftSentry's writing tools is provided for your review. You remain responsible for the final text and for appropriate attribution of ideas taken from other sources. AI output may contain errors and should not be used without review.
9. Similarity-report limitations
DraftSentry compares submitted text against a demonstration source collection. It does not search the entire internet, every publication, or private academic databases. Similarity scores are estimates and do not prove plagiarism or guarantee originality.
10. Prohibited misuse
You agree not to misuse DraftSentry, including uploading documents without permission, infringing copyright, engaging in academic misconduct, misrepresenting authorship, using the Humanizer to evade academic rules, automated scraping, credential sharing, uploading malware, bypassing usage limits, harassing others, or reverse-engineering or disrupting the service. 11. Intellectual property
DraftSentry, its design, logos, and software are owned by DraftSentry. You may not copy, modify, or distribute DraftSentry's software without permission.
12. Service availability
DraftSentry is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
13. Fair-use limits
All registered users receive the same fair-use limits regardless of contribution status. Limits include maximum words per document, monthly similarity checks, and monthly AI-tool requests. Only successful requests count toward your limits. When you reach a limit, your access resets on the next cycle. These limits help keep DraftSentry available to everyone.
14. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. We may also restrict access to prevent abuse or protect the service.
15. Warranty disclaimers
DraftSentry is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results will be accurate or complete.
16. Liability limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DraftSentry shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months (which is zero for free users).
17. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases.
18. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
